Consultation and Co-Design
Phase 2 of the Female Veterans Transformation Programme (FVTP) focused on gaining the views and opinions of female veterans and those that support them. This was carried out through a range of consultation and co-design activities based on the question ‘what does good look like?’ in terms of future service provision.
Consultation and Co-Design Report
We launched Phase 2 in April 2024 with an online consultation questionnaire for female veterans and one for support services, this was followed by a range of face to face and online focus groups. In total we heard from over 800 people in this phase. This report gives details of the process and key findings which will inform the development of the toolkit during Phase 3.
To support better understanding of female veterans needs we have also broken the data into 3 demographic sets. You can see the reports for Single Service, Devolved Administrations and Pre and Post 2000 below.

What Good Looks Like Checklist
We want services to be able to understand the key messages of the consultation and have created a 'What good looks like?' checklist. The infographic shows what services need to do to provide the best support for female veterans in the future.
